Deluxe combines abstract patterns with typography to create a subliminal message that speaks to the hierarchical structure of our society.

The wordplay on “deluxe” makes reference to the idea of opulence and aims to portray traditional patterns as being sumptuous and of superior quality, thus positioning Indigenous women as high-class material.
